NEW COMMIT:\u00a0<\/strong>The University of South Carolina has scored a new in-state verbal commitment for the 2020-21 season and beyond from Columbia, S.C. native\u00a0Hayley Mason<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

No stranger to South Carolina’s program, Mason swims year-round with Carolina Aquatics and is a talented freestyler and IMer. She placed seventh in the 200 free at Greensboro Sectionals in March after winning the 200 back at the South Carolina SCY Championships in February.<\/p>\n

Also competing for Dreher High School, Mason is a six-time South Carolina 4A State Championship finalist.\u00a0She was the 200\/500 free runner-up as a junior after winning both of those events during her sophomore season.<\/p>\n

She told\u00a0Swimming World:<\/em><\/p>\n

“I am humbled and blessed to announce my verbal commitment to swim and study at the University of South Carolina. None of this would be possible without God and the constant support of my coaches, teammates, and family. I can\u2019t wait to see what the future holds!
