{"id":378860,"date":"2019-07-07T00:31:37","date_gmt":"2019-07-07T07:31:37","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/?p=378860"},"modified":"2019-07-07T08:18:32","modified_gmt":"2019-07-07T15:18:32","slug":"2019-world-university-games-day-2-prelims-live-recap-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/2019-world-university-games-day-2-prelims-live-recap-2\/","title":{"rendered":"2019 World University Games Day 4 Prelims: Live Recap"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The 2019 World University Games began its fourth day of swimming competition from Naples, Italy on Sunday.<\/p>\n<p>Swimmers go into day four hoping for more meet records to be broken along side fellow competitors\u00a0<strong>Ian\u00a0<\/strong><b>Finnerty<\/b>,\u00a0<strong>Lisa Bratton<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Zane Waddell<\/strong>,\u00a0and\u00a0<strong>Zach Apple<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The day started with the women&#8217;s 200 breast, followed by the men&#8217;s 100 free, women&#8217;s 100 fly, men&#8217;s 800 free, and the women&#8217;s 4&#215;200 free.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/meet\/2019-world-university-games\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">MEET COVERAGE<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/results.universiade2019napoli.it\/#\/swimming\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">LIVE RESULTS<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Women&#8217;s 200m Breaststroke &#8211; Preliminary<\/h3>\n<div class=\"page\" title=\"Page 1\">\n<div class=\"layoutArea\">\n<div class=\"column\">\n<p>Coming in first was USA&#8217;s <b>Emily Escobedo<\/b>\u00a0dropping two seconds to go a time of 2:22.87, followed by South Africa&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Tatjana Rens Schoenmaker<\/strong> with a time of 2:26.14.
