NEW COMMIT:\u00a0<\/strong>Mason, Ohio native and versatile swimmer\u00a0Ian Van Gorp\u00a0<\/strong>has verbally committed to The Ohio State University and will join the Buckeyes as a member of the class of 2024.<\/p>\n

Van Gorp, who owns the Winter Juniors standard in the 400 IM, does his club swimming with Mason Manta Rays and earned a trio of best times at the Southern Premier Invitational in March. He raced four events at Juniors East in December and set a lifetime best in the 200m fly at NCSAs last summer.<\/p>\n

Also competing for Saint Xavier High School, Van Gorp is a six-time Ohio State Championship finalist and recently helped his team secure their 11th-straight title<\/a>.\u00a0He placed fifth in the 200 free and 10th in the 100 fly as a junior after taking 14th in the latter and sixth in the 200 IM during his sophomore season.<\/p>\n
