ACWORTH, Georgia, September 30. AFTER some heavy looks at both Tennessee and Texas, Dynamo’s Kylie Stewart decided to remain close to home and committed to Georgia head coach Jack Bauerle tonight.<\/p>\n
Stewart, the top-ranked recruit in the Class of 2014 by CollegeSwimming.com, is a scary bluechip recruit that is going to make a huge impact on the Bulldogs.<\/p>\n
Bulldog Nation definitely seemed to be excited about Stewart’s decision as evidenced by the following tweet:<\/p>\n

Stewart holds some scorching-fast lifetime bests in short course yards, short course meters and long course meters with some serious speed at the all-important yard events. Stewart lit up SwimmingWorld.TV earlier this year at the 2013 NCSA Junior Nationals in March. She blazed her way to a 1:50.66 in the 200-yard back and a 52.15 in the 100-yard back. She also demonstrated her sprint medley relay ability with a 24.87 backstroke leadoff at the meet as well.<\/p>\n

Last November, she was a part of the Junior National team FINA World Cup trip, and put up some seriously strong short course meter times with a 2:04.70 in the 200-meter back and a 59.40 in the 100-meter backstroke.<\/p>\n
Stewart’s long course times aren’t too shabby either. She has a 2:09.04 in the 200-meter back and a 1:00.85 in the 100-meter backstroke to her credit, and those times will only get faster under the tutelage of Bauerle.<\/p>\n
In terms of an extra individual event, Stewart can also put together a strong list of potential swims with a 1:45.26 in the 200-yard free, a 1:58.04 in the 200-yard IM and a 4:09.15 in the 400-yard IM.<\/p>\n
That gives UGA two of the top 10 swimmers in the Class of 2014 with No. 9 Megan Kingsley also a member of the Class of 2014. No. 50 Stephanie Peters has also committed to be a Georgia Bulldog.<\/p>\n
Georgia also collected the services of the Dynamo Litherland triplets on the men’s side, as the Dynamo-Georgia pipeline is alive and well.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
