United States national junior team member\u00a0Lillie Nordmann\u00a0<\/strong>sent her verbal commitment to Stanford for the fall 2020. Nordmann will join the Cardinal in the fall of 2020 as she will join older sister\u00a0Lucie Nordmann\u00a0<\/strong>in her junior year. The younger Nordmann is a butterfly specialist.<\/p>\n

She was fourth in the 200 fly at the 2018 Junior Pan Pacific Championships and had the second fastest 200 fly SCY time out of all the 18 and under swimmers behind fellow Cardinal commit Regan Smith<\/strong>. Nordmann’s best 200 fly time is a 1:53.62 from Speedo Sectionals in March. She was also a 52.08 in the 100 fly at the Texas state high school meet.<\/p>\n

Nordmann also boasts a 1:45.55 in the 200 free that could make her a relay asset for Stanford in the future. She would have qualified to swim the 200 fly at NCAAs in 2019.<\/p>\n

Nordmann is a valuable butterfly asset for the Cardinal that has had their fair share of legendary 200 butterflyers<\/a> rep the red S on their cap. Summer Sanders<\/strong>, Elaine Breeden<\/strong>,\u00a0Misty Hyman\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0Dana Kirk\u00a0<\/strong>made US Olympic Teams in their careers and\u00a0Ella Eastin\u00a0<\/strong>won two 200 butterfly NCAA titles in her career.<\/p>\n
