The<strong>\u00a0<\/strong>Women&#8217;s 800m Freestyle\u00a0was one to watch tonight with four potential swimmers possibly finishing under the qualifying time for World Championships. It was <strong>Eve Thomas,<\/strong>\u00a0<strong>Carina Doyle <\/strong>who touched with A qualifying times for the FINA World Championships. <strong>Tyron Henry <\/strong>broke the\u00a0New Zealand Age Record<strong>\u00a0<\/strong>from 1995 in the 100 free. 14-year old\u00a0<strong>Melissa Cowen <\/strong>broke a\u00a0New Zealand Age Record\u00a0in the women\u2019s 100 breast. The women competed in the 100 free, 800 free, 100 breast and 400 free relay. The men competed in the 100 free, 200 fly, 100 breast, 1500 free and 400 free relay.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Men\u2019s 100 Free<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><strong>Daniel Hunter<\/strong> of Howick Pakuranga with a time of 49.73 on the final night of the 2019 New Zealand Swimming Championships. In second was <strong>Matthew Stanley<\/strong> of Matamata Swim Club with a time of 49.96. \u00a0In third was <strong>Tyron Henry<\/strong> of Howick Pakuranga with a time of 50.13. In fourth was <strong>Carter Swift<\/strong> of Hawera Swimming Club with a time of 50.24. In fifth was <strong>Corey Main<\/strong> of Howick Pakuranga with a time of 50.26. In sixth was <strong>Luke Gebbie<\/strong> of Philippine Swimming with a time of 50.45. \u00a0In seventh was <strong>Bayley Main<\/strong> of Howick Pakuranga with a time of 50.75. In eighth was <strong>Andrew Jeffcoat<\/strong> of Pukekohe Swimming Club with a time of 51.49.<\/p>\n<h2>Women\u2019s 100 Free<\/h2>\n<p><strong>Erika Fairweather<\/strong> of Neptune Swim Club touched first with a time of 55.74 for her third win of the meet at the 2019 New Zealand Swimming Championships. In second was <strong>Gabrielle Fa&#8217;amausili<\/strong> of United Swimming Club with a time of 56.33. \u00a0In third was <strong>Chelsey Edwards<\/strong> of Capital Swim Club with a time of 56.59. In fourth was <strong>Emma Godwin<\/strong> of Heretaunga Sundevils with a time of 56.86. In fifth was <strong>Ella Ramsay<\/strong> of St Peter&#8217;s Western with a time of 57.23. In sixth was <strong>Paige Flynn<\/strong> of St Peter&#8217;s Swimming Club with a time of 57.43. In seventh was <strong>Laura Littlejohn<\/strong> of St Paul&#8217;s Swimming Club with a time of 57.50<strong>. Olivia Collins<\/strong> of St Peter&#8217;s Western rounded out the heat with a time of 57.81.<\/p>\n<h2>Men\u2019s 200 Fly<\/h2>\n<p><strong>Wilrich Coetzee<\/strong> of North Shore Swimming Club touched first with a time of 1:58.51 on the last day of the 2019 New Zealand Swimming Championships. In second was <strong>Lochlainn O&#8217;Connor<\/strong> of Evolution Aquatics Tauranga with a time of 2:00.67. In third was <strong>Atakura Julian<\/strong> of Capital Swim Club with a time of 2:03.43. \u00a0In fourth was <strong>Jeremy Tasker<\/strong> of North Canterbury Swim Club Inc with a time of 2:06.03. \u00a0In fifth was <strong>Joel Crampton<\/strong> of Capital Swim Club with a time of 2:06.79.\u00a0 In sixth was <strong>William Campbell<\/strong> of Wharenui Swim Club with a time of 2:07.34. In seventh was <strong>Satori Dobbie<\/strong> of Qeii Swim Club with a time of 2:08.26. In eighth was <strong>Andrew Rattray<\/strong> of Howick Pakuranga with a time of 2:08.78.<\/p>\n<h2>Women\u2019s 800 Free<\/h2>\n<p><strong>Eve Thomas<\/strong> of Coast Swimming Club touched first with a time of 8:41.31 at the 2019 New Zealand Swimming Championships. Thomas was able to qualify for the World Championships in four weeks. <strong>Carina Doyle<\/strong> of North Shore Swimming Club followed in second with a time of 8:45.76 also qualifying herself for the World Championships. <strong>Hayley McIntosh<\/strong> of Phoenix Aquatics was third in a time of 8:46.63. In fourth was <strong>Caitlin Deans<\/strong> of Neptune Swim Club with a time of 8:47.26. \u00a0In fifth was <strong>Emma Robinson<\/strong> of Capital Swim Club with a time of 8:49.30. In sixth was <strong>Ruby Heath<\/strong> of Capital Swim Club with a time of 9:04.44. \u00a0In seventh was<strong> Naia Anderson<\/strong> of Mt Maunganui Swimming Club with a time of 9:16.44In eighth was <strong>Bree Middleton<\/strong> of Ashburton Swim Team with a time of 9:19.82.<\/p>\n<h2>Men\u2019s 100 Breast<\/h2>\n<p><strong>Eliot Lundon-Moore<\/strong> of Capital Swim Club won the event with a time of 1:02.39 to close out the 2019 New Zealand Swimming Championships. \u00a0In second was <strong>Julian Layton<\/strong> of Heretaunga Sundevils with a time of 1:02.55. \u00a0In a tie for third was <strong>Taichi Vakasama<\/strong> of Fiji Swimming and<strong> Jonathan Rutter<\/strong> of North Shore Swimming Club with a time of 1:02.85. \u00a0In fifth was <strong>Jiahao Gong<\/strong> of Shanghai Swimming Team with a time of 1:02.88. \u00a0In sixth was <strong>Josh Gilbert<\/strong> of Evolution Aquatics Tauranga with a time of 1:03.18. In second was <strong>Helena Gasson<\/strong> of Coast Swimming Club with a time of 1:10.97. In third was <strong>Ciara Smith<\/strong> of Northwave Swim Club with a time of 1:10.98. \u00a0On fourth was <strong>Melissa Cowen<\/strong> of North Shore Swimming Club with a time of 1:11.28. In a tie for second was <strong>Zhou Wang<\/strong> of Shanghai Swimming and <strong>Quinton Hurley<\/strong> of Jasi Swim Club with times of 15:25.69. In third was <strong>Bronson Lloyd<\/strong> of Raumati Swimming Club with a time of 15:58.54. In fifth was <strong>Louis Clark<\/strong> of Aquagym Swimming Club with a time of 16:08.30. In sixth was <strong>Phoenix Douglas<\/strong> of Capital Swim Club with a time of 16:10.52. In seventh was <strong>Riley Taylor<\/strong> of Swim Timaru with a time of 16:19.38. <strong>Joseph Stewart <\/strong>of Pirates Swim Team touched eighth was 16:27.51.<\/p>\n<h2>Woman\u2019s 400 Free Relay<\/h2>\n<p>In a tie for first was St Peter&#8217;s Western and North Shore Swimming Club with times of 3:52.59. In second was St. Paul\u2019s Swimming Club with a time of 3:58.27.<\/p>\n<h2>Men\u2019s 400 Free Relay<\/h2>\n<p>In first was Howick Pakuranga with a time of 3:20.81.
