He tragically passed away in 2010 at age 26, leaving the swim community heartbroken. Since then, elite athletes from around the country have convened at an annual swim meet in his honor, an event that is truly unique, exceptional, and competitive\u2013just like Fran Crippen.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Erica Sullivan<\/strong> and <strong>Jordan Wilimovsky<\/strong> failed to disappoint, putting forth impressive performances in the opening event and setting the bar high for the remainder of the weekend.<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.socalswim.org\/live-results\/2019MVNSMOC\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Live Results<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/meet\/2019-fran-crippen-mission-viejo-meet-of-champions\">Swimming World&#8217;s Fran Crippen Memorial Meet Page<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<h2>Women&#8217;s 1500 Free<\/h2>\n<p><strong>Erica Sullivan<\/strong> earned top honors with ease, paying tribute with a stellar 16:13.74 for the win in the meet&#8217;s opening event. Seventeen-year-old <strong>Liberty Williams<\/strong> clocked in at 16:52.95 to seize second, taking down <strong>Kendall Dawson&#8217;s<\/strong> 17:01.58.<strong> Mattea Sokolow<\/strong> chased her to the end, crashing the pads with a 17:06.40 to slash her seed time.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Caitlyn Wilson<\/strong> forced her name on the scene, as she split a near perfect race to drop a 17:09.86, as<strong> Julie Arzave<\/strong> stroked in for the finish at 17:15.50. <strong>Kathy Sulkevich<\/strong> and <strong>Josie Carpenter<\/strong> rounded out a loaded heat with times of 17:22.43 and him, turning in a 15:19.59 for second. <strong>Michael Brinegar<\/strong> (15:26.77) found a way to kick on <strong>Gordon Mason<\/strong> (15:33.99) to nab a spot in the top three; while <strong>True Sweetser<\/strong> came home in a 15:37.04 to round out the top five.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Jose Gutierrez<\/strong> barely conceded fifth with a 15:37.18, partaking in an epic stroke race with Sweetser in
