The night&#8217;s events included the women&#8217;s 50 free, 200 back, 50 fly and the 1500. On the men&#8217;s side the event list included the 400 IM, 100 back and 800 free. There were also several swimmers that have qualified for the FINA World Championship team. Those swimmers are <strong>Lewis Clareburt <\/strong>(400 IM)<strong>, Ali Galyer <\/strong>(200 back) and<strong> Zac Reid <\/strong>(800 free).<\/p>\n<h2>Women&#8217;s 50 Free<\/h2>\n<p>In first was <strong>Chelsey Edwards<\/strong> of Capital Swim Club in a time of 25.88. In second was <strong>Erika Fairweather<\/strong> of Neptune Swim Club in a time of 26.17. In third was <strong>Paige Flynn<\/strong> of St Peter&#8217;s Swimming Club with a time of 26.59. In fourth and fifth were <strong>Olivia Collins<\/strong> of\u00a0 St Peter&#8217;s Western in a time of 26.69 and <strong>Ella Ramsay<\/strong> of St Peter&#8217;s Western with a time of 26.73. Clareburt qualified for the 2019 World Championships with his swim at the New Zealand Swimming Championships. In second was <strong>Luan Grobbelaar<\/strong> of Kiwi West Aquatics with a 4:23.54.<\/p>\n<p>In a tie for third was <strong>Talon Lindquist<\/strong> of Kodiak KingFishers and<strong> Callum Prime<\/strong> of North Shore Swimming Club 4:31.79. In fifth was<strong> Lochlainn O&#8217;Connor<\/strong> of Evolution Aquatics Tauranga in a time of 4:33.08. <strong>Jeremy Tasker<\/strong> of North Canterbury Swim Club Inc was sixth with a time of 4:37.27. <strong>Brandon Schuster<\/strong> of <strong>Samoa<\/strong> was seventh with a time of 4:37.62. <strong>Andrew Rattray<\/strong> of Howick Pakuranga rounded out the top eight with a time of 4:40.43.<\/p>\n<h2>Women&#8217;s 200 Back<\/h2>\n<p><strong> Ali Galyer<\/strong> of North Shore Swimming Club touched first with a time of 2:09.78 at the New Zealand Swimming Championships. The swim also qualified her for Worlds in five weeks.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Emma Godwin<\/strong> of Heretaunga Sundevils followed with a time of 2:15.07.<strong> Gina Galloway<\/strong> of North Shore Swimming Club was third with a time of 2:15.88. In fourth was <strong>Tyler Finau<\/strong> of Enterprise Swim Club with a time of 2:18.66. <strong>Cassie Wright<\/strong> of Qeii Swim Club was fifth with a time of 2:19.01. In sixth was<strong> Ella Drinnan<\/strong> of North Shore Swimming Club in a time of 2:21.48. In seventh was <strong>Sophie Irving<\/strong> of Capital Swim Club in a time of 2:23.71. <strong>Sasha Reid<\/strong> of Aquabladz New Plymouth Swimming rounded out the top eight with a time of 2:25.00.<\/p>\n<h2>Men&#8217;s 100 Back<\/h2>\n<p><strong>Bradlee Ashby<\/strong> of North Shore Swimming Club was victorious in a time of 54.48. <strong>Kane Follows<\/strong> followed (Mt Eden Swimming) in a time of 54.78.\u00a0<strong>Corey Main<\/strong> of Howick Pakuranga touched third with a time of 54.89. In fourth was <strong>Andrew Jeffcoat<\/strong> of Pukekohe Swimming Club in a time of 55.25. <strong>Bayley Main<\/strong> of Howick Pakuranga was fifth with a time of 56.31. In sixth was<strong> Zac Dell<\/strong> of Pukekohe Swimming Club in a time of 56.34. In seventh was <strong>Jason Churches<\/strong> of Parnell Swimming in a time of 56.99. <strong>Cameron Gray<\/strong> of North Shore Swimming Club was eighth with a time of 57.95.<\/p>\n<h2>Women&#8217;s 50 Fly<\/h2>\n<p><strong>Helena Gasson<\/strong> of Coast Swimming Club touched first in a time of 26.93. In second was <strong>Vanessa Ouwehand<\/strong> of Phoenix Aquatics in a time of 27.60. In third was Chelsey Edwards of Capital Swim Club in a time of 27.84. In fourth was <strong>Olivia Collins<\/strong> of St Peter&#8217;s Western in a time of 27.89. In fifth was<strong> Alice Waldow<\/strong> of United Swimming Club with a time of 27.91.<strong> Ella Ramsay<\/strong> of St Peter&#8217;s Western was sixth with a time of 27.96. In seventh was<strong> Paige Schendelaar-Kemp<\/strong> of Howick Pakuranga with a time of 27.98. In eighth was<strong> Jessica Scott<\/strong> of Neptune Swim Club in a time of 28.73.<\/p>\n<h2>Men&#8217;s 800 Free<\/h2>\n<p><strong>Zac Reid<\/strong> of Aquabladz New Plymouth Swimming won the event in a time of 7:57.40 at the New Zealand Swimming Championships. Reid was able to qualify for the World Championships with the swim.<\/p>\n<p>In second was <strong>Quinton Hurley<\/strong> of Jasi Swim Club with a time of 8:11.4. In a tie for third was <strong>Zhou Wang<\/strong> of Shanghai Swimming Team and<strong> Phoenix Douglas<\/strong> of Capital Swim Club with a time of 8:22.26. In fifth was<strong> Louis Clark<\/strong> of Aquagym Swimming Club with a time of 8:27.91. <strong>Riley Taylor<\/strong> of Swim Timaru was sixth with a time of 8:29.64. In seventh was <strong>Bronson Lloyd<\/strong> of Raumati Swimming Club with a time of\u00a0 8:32.01. \u00a0<strong>John Clark<\/strong> of Whakatane Swimming Club rounded out the top eight with a time of\u00a0 8:33.15.<\/p>\n<h2>Women&#8217;s 1500 Free<\/h2>\n<p>In first was <strong>Emma Robinson<\/strong> of Capital Swim Club with a time of 16:41.74. In second was <strong>Caitlin Deans<\/strong> of Neptune Swim Club in a time of 16:58.13. <strong>Hayley McIntosh<\/strong> of Phoenix Aquatics was third with a time of 17:12.88. In fourth was <strong>Gina McCarthy<\/strong> of Hillcrest Swim Club with a time of 17:15.96. In fifth was <strong>Naia Anderson<\/strong> of Mt Maunganui Swimming Club in a time of 17:40.93.<strong> Bree Middleton<\/strong> of Ashburton Swim Team touched sixth with a time of 17:41.82. In seventh was <strong>Ruby Heath<\/strong> of Capital Swim Club in a time of 17:47.86.
