DART Swimming’s Luca Urlando<\/strong> dominated the men’s 200 Butterfly on the third night of the 2019 TYR Pro Swim Series Clovis.<\/p>\n

Men’s 200 Butterfly<\/h2>\n

17-year-old Luca Urlando<\/strong> had the swim of the meet so far in the men’s 200 Butterfly. He dominated the race by nearly five seconds, coming in at 1:53.84. The time was not only a TYR Pro Series Record, but also a 17-18 USA Swimming National Age Group Record. The mark was formerly set by Michael Phelps<\/strong> in 2003.<\/p>\n

Urlando’s splits for the race were 26.08 – 28.74 – 29.09 – 29.93. He remains the top American in this event this season and is now the third-fastest performer in the world for 2019.<\/p>\n

Urlando is 11th all-time and is the third fastest American ever.<\/p>\n

Justin Wright<\/strong> was right on his season best for second in 1:58.61. Ben Miller<\/strong> rounded out the top three with his 2:00.41.<\/p>\n

Also competing in the final were Mexico’s Hector Ruvalcaba Cruz<\/strong> (2:00.64), Puerto Rico’s Jarod Arroyo<\/strong> (2:01.00), Mexico’s Angel Martinez<\/strong> (2:02.85), Ascanio Ferna Pinto Urbina<\/strong> (2:04.20) and Nicolas Duke<\/strong> (2:06.77).<\/p>\n
