There were not a lot of big names at the meet in Clovis, California but <strong>Leah Smith<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Mallory Comerford<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Townley Haas<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Kelsi Dahlia\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0<strong>Gianluca Urlando <\/strong>were in attendance this morning.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/omegatiming.com\/Competition?id=000113010affffffffffffffffffffff&amp;day=2\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Live Results<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.usaswimming.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Live Stream<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/vmrw8k5h.tinifycdn.com\/results\/pdf\/2019-tyr-pro-swim-series-clovis-thursday-prelims-heat-sheets-day-2-usa-senior-national-2019-06-13.pdf\">Heat Sheets<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Women&#8217;s 200 Free<\/h3>\n<p><strong>Leah Smith\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0<strong>Mallory Comerford<\/strong>, who will both represent Team USA at the World Championships later this summer, have the top two seeds in the 200 free on Thursday morning at the 2019 TYR Pro Swim Series in Clovis. Smith is first at 1:58.10 while Comerford is second at 1:58.65. Comerford was right at her season best time of 1:58.02 from when she swam in Brazil in April.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Catie DeLoof<\/strong>, who just made the move from Michigan to San Diego, is the third seed at 2:00.09. DeLoof swam for the University of Michigan and is now training at Team Elite, presumably to be closer to her older sister\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/video-interview-ali-deloof-details-move-from-michigan-to-san-diego\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Ali DeLoof<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Canada has a couple swimmers in the final with\u00a0<strong>Emily Overholt\u00a0<\/strong>(2:00.15) and\u00a0<strong>Erika Seltenreich-Hodgson\u00a0<\/strong>(2:01.56) in fourth and seventh. Freeman is ahead of a good field with Canada&#8217;s <strong>Markus Thormeyer\u00a0<\/strong>(1:49.33) sitting in second and USA&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Townley Haas\u00a0<\/strong>(1:49.83) in third.<\/p>\n<p>Freeman will represent Team USA at the World University Games in a couple weeks.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Dylan Carter<\/strong>, who represents Trinidad &amp; Tobago internationally, is the fourth seed at 1:50.01, just ahead of fellow former USC Trojan\u00a0<strong>Cristian Quintero\u00a0<\/strong>(1:50.06).<\/p>\n<p>This field will have two of the last three NCAA title winners in the 200 free with Quintero (2015) and Haas (2016-2018) in attendance.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Gianluca Urlando\u00a0<\/strong>(1:50.23),\u00a0<strong>Jorge Iga\u00a0<\/strong>(1:50.96) and\u00a0<strong>Jeremy Bagshaw\u00a0<\/strong>(1:51.75) also qualified for the final.<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/stanford-freshman-jack-levant-pulls-out-of-ncaas-due-to-medical-complications\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Jack LeVant<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>scratched out of the morning after coming in with the second fastest time. She is just ahead of Mexico&#8217;s <strong>Melissa Rodriguez <\/strong>(1:09.23) and 2012 Olympic finalist and fellow former Texas A&amp;M Aggie\u00a0<strong>Breeja Larson\u00a0<\/strong>(1:09.24).<\/p>\n<p>Texas A&amp;M swimming has a solid contention in the final with Atkinson, Larson,\u00a0<strong>Sydney Pickrem\u00a0<\/strong>(1:09.61) and <strong>Esther Gonzalez Medina\u00a0<\/strong>(1:11.87) in the A-Final. The time is a best for Fischer, who was a 1:01.20 at US Nationals last summer. Fischer is ahead of\u00a0<strong>Miguel de Lara Ojeda\u00a0<\/strong>(1:01.46) and American\u00a0<strong>Devon Nowicki<\/strong>, who recently dropped out of the World University Games team this summer. Nowicki allowed <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/andrew-abruzzo-ali-deloof-ian-finnerty-added-to-u-s-rosters-for-summer\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Ian Finnerty<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>to take the vacant spot on the team in the 100 breast.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Daniel Roy<\/strong>, who will be swimming in the World University Games in the 200, is just behind Nowicki with a 1:02.10. Roy just finished his freshman season at Stanford. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/virginia-tech-picks-up-two-verbals-from-twins-rose-and-aj-pouch\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Virginia Tech commit<\/a>\u00a0<strong>AJ Pouch\u00a0<\/strong>is fifth with a 1:02.12 as he is ahead of a trio of internationals. He is ahead of fellow national team member\u00a0<strong>Matt Grevers\u00a0<\/strong>(25.44). Hansson swam a 58.22 in the 100 fly heats as she is ahead of\u00a0<strong>Kendyl Stewart\u00a0<\/strong>(58.56) and\u00a0<strong>Kelsi Dahlia\u00a0<\/strong>(58.61). Stewart is going to be swimming at the Pan American Games while Dahlia will be at the World Championships. Hansson represents Sweden and will be at the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/louise-hansson-sarah-sjostrom-lead-swedish-field-for-worlds\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">World Championships<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Hansson has already been a 57.35 earlier this year.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Mallory Comerford,<\/strong> who also swam the 200 free earlier, is the fourth seed at 59.55. Smith is ahead of teenage phenom <strong>Gianluca Urlando <\/strong>(52.71) as those two are head and shoulders above the rest of the field.
