The Chinese divers excelled in the women’s events this weekend in Madrid, Spain, at the fourth leg of the FINA Diving Grand Prix 2019 as they clinched three gold medals out of four available in their category.<\/p>\n
Wei Ying<\/strong> (CHN) collected the best score in the women’s 3m springboard (312.60), while teammate Ma Tong<\/strong> took silver (306.35) and Russia’s Elizaveta Kuzina<\/strong> settled for bronze with (285.35). Ying also took gold, together with partner Huang Xiaohui<\/strong>, in the springboard synchro event (293.40), while Russia, with Vitaliia Koroleva<\/strong> and Uliana Kliueva<\/strong>, placed second (270.00) and Japan’s Haruka Enomoto<\/strong>\/Hazuki Miyamoto<\/strong> third (259.20).<\/p>\n The 10m platform was won by China’s Zhang Minjie<\/strong> with 336.15 points. Japan’s Matsuri Arai<\/strong> earned silver (332.60) and Celine Van Duijn<\/strong> from the Netherlands completed the podium (307.65). The Korean pair, Nayun Moon<\/strong>\/Eunbi Cho<\/strong>, topped the 10m synchro, accumulating 264.45 points and Norway’s sisters Anna Vilde Tuxen<\/strong>\/Helle Tuxen<\/strong> claimed silver (231.33).<\/p>\n In the men’s competition, Korea and China shared the gold medals on offer. Haram Woo<\/strong> (KOR) was the best in the 3m springboard (457.60). He was followed by China’s Tai Xiaohu<\/strong> (404.50), while Woo’s teammate Yeongnam Kim<\/strong> closed the podium with (399.80). Woo, this time paired with Kim, added the 3m synchro gold medal to his tally (366.75), while France’s Alexis Jandard<\/strong>\/Gwendal Bisch<\/strong> were second (358.14) and Switzerland’s Guillaume Dutoit<\/strong>\/Simon Rieckhoff<\/strong> settled for bronze (341.19).<\/p>\n Yang Lin<\/strong> of China pocketed the 10m gold (446.55) and Noah Williams<\/strong> (GBR, 398.80) and Yuan Song<\/strong> (CHN, 385.30) clinched the silver and bronze medals in this order.
