{"id":374198,"date":"2019-06-09T16:28:37","date_gmt":"2019-06-09T23:28:37","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/?p=374198"},"modified":"2019-06-09T16:28:37","modified_gmt":"2019-06-09T23:28:37","slug":"cameron-craig-reaches-another-olympic-trials-cut","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/cameron-craig-reaches-another-olympic-trials-cut\/","title":{"rendered":"Cameron Craig Reaches Another Olympic Trials Cut"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>One day after making his return to racing and qualifying for the 2020 Olympic trials, <strong>Cameron Craig<\/strong> turned in another stellar performance to close the Big Red Challenge in Holland, Michigan, on Sunday.<\/p>\n<p>Craig, swimming for host Michigan Lakeshore Aquatics, won the 100 free in 50.45 to break the club and pool record and qualify for the Olympic trials. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/cameron-craig-goes-53-61-in-100-fly-finally-at-home-again-in-the-water-after-14-months\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Cameron Craig made his return<\/a> Saturday.<\/p>\n<p>In his first race back, Craig won the 100 fly in 53.61 at the Big Red Challenge hosted by Michigan Lakeshore Aquatic to earn a cut for the 2020 Olympic trials.<\/p>\n<p>Craig&#8217;s 100 free on Sunday was two seconds ahead of the fast field as <strong>Skyler Cook-Weeks<\/strong> was second (52.58).<\/p>\n<p><strong>Kyle Maas<\/strong> broke the pool record to win the 200 IM (2:07.06).<\/p>\n<p>MLA\u2019s <strong>Devon Nowicki<\/strong> won the 100 breast in 1:04.67. Nowicki also won the 50 breast in 29.14 ahead of teammate <strong>Khadin Soto<\/strong> (29.14).<\/p>\n<p><strong>Derek Maas<\/strong> won the 50 back (27.45). <strong>Ian Miskelley<\/strong> won the 200 back (2:13.85).<\/p>\n<p>In the women\u2019s meet, MLA\u2019s <strong>Kathryn Ackerman<\/strong> won the 50 back in 30.64.
