The 2019 Australian World Swimming Trials continued today in Brisbane with the first finals session of the meet.<\/p>\n

Swimmers from Down Under will be vying for spots on the 2019 World Championship team for next month\u2019s worlds in Gwangju, South Korea.<\/p>\n

Ariarne Titmus<\/strong> was the star of the night, breaking the Australian and Commonwealth records in the 400 free.<\/p>\n

2019 Australian World Swimming Trials LIVE RESULTS<\/a><\/p>\n

<\/iframe><\/p>\n<h2>Women\u2019s 100 Fly<\/h2>\nEmma McKeon<\/strong> held on to her top seed from prelims and used a quick start to win the 100 fly and qualify for the world championships.<\/p>\nMcKeon won the event in 57.28. She holds the Australian and Commonwealth record at 56.18, which she set in 2017. The time qualified her for the world championships.<\/p>\nKiah Melverton<\/strong> finished second in 4:05.30 to also qualify for the world championships.<\/p>\nLani Pallister<\/strong> nearly made it three qualifiers, but missed by nine hundredths of a second with her 4:06.57.<\/p>\nLeah Neale<\/strong> was fourth (4:07.42), followed by Madeleine Gough<\/strong> (4:07.97), Mikka Sheridan<\/strong>
