The team announced the move on an Instagram post:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><strong>\u201cWe\u2019re delighted to announce Melanie Marshall as Head Coach for the London Roar this year. British Swim Coaches Association Coach of the Year in 2014, 2015, 2016 &amp; 2017\u00a0@melmarshallmassive\u00a0is also the coach of Olympic Champion\u00a0@adam_peaty\u00a0&amp; his London Roar teammate\u00a0@sarahvasey96\u00a0Before coaching, Mel was a successful swimmer herself as a 3 time Olympian &amp; 6 time Commonwealth Games medallist. Its great to have you on board Mel!\u00a0#worldsbest\u00a0#swimcoach#londonroar\u00a0#isl2019 \u201c<\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>The team has British headliners<strong> Adam Peaty, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/duncan-scott-joins-international-swimming-leagues-london-roar\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Duncan Scott<\/a><\/strong> and <strong>Sarah Vasey<\/strong> already signed.<\/p>\n<p>Scott originally was on the fence about the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/meet\/international-swimming-league\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">ISL<\/a> because he wanted to make sure it didn\u2019t affect his training plans for the 2020 Olympic Games.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><strong> \u201cI think all swimmers are intrigued by it, and anyone who has even got a passing interest in the sport is intrigued too, because it is something new, something the sport has never seen before. It has got a lot of people talking. He has covered swimming at all levels since 2003, including the NCAA championships, USA nationals, Duel in the Pool and Olympic trials. He is a native of Ann Arbor, Michigan, and a graduate of Central Michigan University.
