It will be one of the Pan American and Parapan American Games biggest milestones. The venue was entirely built by the Games Organizing Committee and it is currently one of the Americas\u2019 most modern facilities, certified by FINA (International Swimming Federation).<\/p>\n<p>The Lima 2019 Executive Director Carlos Neuhaus will be present at this event, together with the Peruvian Swimming Federation President <strong>Eduardo Tabini<\/strong> and the president of the National Paralympic Association of Peru, <strong>Lucha Villar<\/strong>. They will be accompanied by many Peruvian aquatic sports team members.<\/p>\n<p>The Aquatic Center will host the swimming, diving and artistic swimming competitions in the Pan American Games, as well as Para swimming events in the Parapan American Games. Additionally, there is one diving pool measuring 21 m long, 25 m wide and 5.5 m deep.<\/p>\n<p>The aquatic precinct is one of the three venues built by Lima 2019 at VIDENA. It has changing rooms and showers, a common area for competitors, a judges\u2019 zone, first-aid station for athletes and spectators, a mixed zone for accredited press and an anti-doping control area.<\/p>\n<p>Team USA&#8217;s Roster for the 2019 Pan American Games can be <a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/usa-swimming-sets-pan-american-games-roster-margo-geer-nathan-adrian-highlight\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">reached here<\/a> with the likes of\u00a0<strong>Nathan Adrian\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0<strong>Haley Anderson\u00a0<\/strong>highlighting the team.<\/p>\n<p>Swimming will take place August 6-10 and will feature all of the Olympic events (with the added women&#8217;s 1500, men&#8217;s 800 and mixed 4&#215;100 medley relay) as well as the mixed 4x100m free relay.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, Para swimming competitions will take place from August 25 to 31 at the Aquatics Center, with 13 categories. The event will bring together the best Para swimmers, as it will be a qualifier for the Paralympic Games next year.<\/p>\n<p>The artistic swimming competition will have four sessions: technical routine and free routine for duets and teams, on July 29, 30 and 31.<\/p>\n<p>The diving preliminaries and finals will take place from August 1 to 5. Finals will include the top 12 divers from preliminaries. A total of three individual and two synchronized events will be held both in men\u2019s and women\u2019s categories.<\/p>\n<p>The Lima 2019 Pan American Games opens on July 26 at the National Stadium. There will be 17 days of competitions which will take place in 14 districts of Lima and Callao. Some of the main venues will be VIDENA, Villa Mar\u00eda del Triunfo Sports Center, Callao Regional Sports Village, Villa El Salvador Sports Center, Punta Rocas, among others.<\/p>\n<p>The Lima 2019 Pan American Games will include 39 sports and 61 disciplines, in which athletes will compete for gold, silver and bronze medals. A total of 22 disciplines are qualifiers for the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games.<\/p>\n<p>The Parapan American Games will welcome 1890 Para athletes from 33 countries, who will participate in 17 Para sports and 18 disciplines. Competitions will take place from August 23 to September 1, 2019.
