Shields opens up about the past nine months of being a postgrad swimmer, discussing how the added aspect of earning money has made him “a lot more nervous … which creates a lot more anxiety.” He’s also on his own schedule in this chapter of his swimming life, but he’s happy with the way it’s turned out, based on the way he performed at the World Cup meets.
