It was <a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/cody-miller-nabs-first-in-100-breast-in-bloomington\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">just off his 59.24<\/a> from the Bloomington Pro Series a few weeks ago.<\/p>\n<p>Miller talked about what it meant to win in front of a &#8220;home&#8221; crowd in Indianapolis and why the IU Natatorium is his favorite pool. Miller also said he likes the format of the FINA Champions Series and thinks it is a step in the right direction for the sport of swimming.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/QsZLD2-kVbg\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Miller swam a 59.26 in the 100 breast on Friday night as he sits just outside the top eight in the world rankings. He is currently tied for ninth at 59.24 with Japan&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Yasuhiro Koseki<\/strong>. Miller will be swimming for Team USA at the Pan American Games this summer and will not make the trip to World Championships.<\/p>\n<p>Miller won ahead of\u00a0<strong>Arno Kamminga\u00a0<\/strong>(59.72),\u00a0<strong>Anton Chupkov\u00a0<\/strong>(59.90) and\u00a0<strong>Kevin Cordes\u00a0<\/strong>(1:01.27).<\/p>\n<p>Miller was one of the crowd favorites along with fellow Indiana pro\u00a0<strong>Lilly King<\/strong>. Those two drew the biggest crowd reactions when they won their respective races in Indianapolis.
