The 2019 FINA Champions Series opened its final stop in Indianapolis on Friday with a full slate of events.<\/p>\n

Some of the sport’s biggest stars are in action in a number of events. A tie in the 50 back and a strong mixed relay performance highlighted the session.<\/p>\n

Women\u2019s 200 Back<\/h2>\n

Margherita Panziera<\/strong> of Italy started the meet off with a close victory in the 200 back.<\/p>\n

Panziera finished in 2:06.64, just ahead of Hungary\u2019s Katinka Hosszu<\/strong> (2:06.94).<\/p>\n

Canada\u2019s Kylie Masse<\/strong> was third in 2:07.59, followed by Russia\u2019s Anastasia Fesikova<\/strong> (2:12.41).<\/p>\n

Men\u2019s 200 Fly<\/h2>\n

Chase Kalisz<\/strong> of the U.S. used a strong first 50 to earn a second victory in the 200 fly.<\/p>\n

Kalisz finished in 1:56.91 to hold off Justin Wright<\/strong> (1:57.93) and an all-USA field.<\/p>\n

Zach Harting<\/strong> was third in 1:58.83, followed by Jack Conger<\/strong> (1:58.96).<\/p>\n

Women\u2019s 100 Fly<\/h2>\n

Sweden\u2019s Sarah Sjostrom<\/strong> used a 26.29 opening split to win the 100 fly in 56.42.<\/p>\n

Kelsi Dahlia<\/strong> of the U.S. finished second in 57.55, followed by Canada\u2019s Penny Oleksiak<\/strong> (58.44) and Egypt\u2019s Farida Osman<\/strong> (58.67).<\/p>\n

Men\u2019s 50 Free<\/h2>\n

Russia\u2019s Vladimir Morozov<\/strong> sprinted to a victory in the 50 free. He clocked a 21.65 to hold off the field.<\/p>\n

Michael Andrew<\/strong> of the U.S. was second in 21.86, followed by Brazil\u2019s Bruno Fratus<\/strong> (22.02) and Anthony<\/strong> Ervin<\/strong> of the U.S. in 22.68.<\/p>\n

Women\u2019s 200 Breast<\/h2>\n

Lilly King<\/strong> and Yuliya Efimova<\/strong> had another close encounter in the 200 breast.<\/p>\n

King won the race in 2:21.39, her best time, finishing just ahead of Efimova (2:21.59).<\/p>\n

USA\u2019s Micah Sumrall<\/strong> (2:23.88) and Bethany Galat<\/strong> (2:24.33).<\/p>\n
