NEW COMMIT:\u00a0<\/strong>NC State University has received a new in-state verbal commitment for the 2020-21 season and beyond from\u00a0Conall Monahan\u00a0<\/strong>of Charlotte, N.C.<\/p>\n

Monahan, who owns five Winter Nationals standards, does his club swimming with SwimMAC Carolina and most recently placed eighth in the 200m back at Indianapolis Speedo Sectionals. He finished fourth in both the 200 IM and 400 IM at the Southern Premier Invitational and took seventh in the latter at Juniors East. This past summer, he raced three events at Junior Nationals.<\/p>\n

Also competing for Providence Senior High School, Monahan is a four-time North Carolina 4A State Championship finalist and has earned USA Swimming Scholastic All-American honors.\u00a0He placed fifth in the 200 IM and 10th in the 100 breast as a junior after finishing seventh and 15th, respectively, in those events during his sophomore season.<\/p>\n
