NEW COMMIT:\u00a0<\/strong>Fishers, Ind. native and current high school junior\u00a0Abby Jahns\u00a0<\/strong>has announced her in-state verbal commitment to Purdue University as a member of the class of 2024.<\/p>\n

A freestyler who gets faster as the distance gets longer, Jahns swims year-round with Fishers Area Swimming Tigers and most recently raced five events at Indianapolis Speedo Sectionals after finishing sixth in the mile at Indiana SCY Seniors. This past summer, she earned bronze in both the 800m free and 1500m free at Indiana LCM Seniors before going on to place 18th in the 800m free at NCSAs.<\/p>\n

Also competing for Fishers High School, Jahns is a five-time Indiana State Championship finalist and has earned NISCA All-American honors.\u00a0She finished 10th in the 500 free and 16th in the 200 free as a junior after taking seventh and 15th, respectively, in those events during her sophomore season.<\/p>\n
