NEW COMMIT:\u00a0<\/strong>Washington State University has earned their first verbal commitment for the 2020-21 season and beyond from in-state sprinter\u00a0Hailey Grotte\u00a0<\/strong>of Battle Ground, Wash.<\/p>\n

Grotte swims year-round with Northwest Blue Crush Aquatic Club and most recently earned 100% best times at Federal Way Speedo Sectionals where her highest finish was a 20th-place showing in the 50 free. She earned bronze in the 100 free at Oregon Seniors in March and finaled twice at Mount Hood Speedo Sectionals this past summer.<\/p>\n

Also competing for La Center High School, Grotte is a six-time Washington 2A State Championship finalist.\u00a0She earned silver in the 50\/100 free combo during both her sophomore and junior seasons after finishing fifth in the 100 free and seventh in the 100 breast during her rookie campaign.<\/p>\n
