The Bloomington stop of the 2019 TYR Pro Series that occurred from May 16 to 19 featured numerous acclaimed story lines. There was Nathan Adrian<\/strong>\u2019s return to racing<\/a>, Annie Lazor<\/strong> posting the top 200 breaststroke time in the world<\/a>, Cody Miller<\/strong>\u2019s lifetime best in the 200 breaststroke<\/a>, Regan Smith<\/strong> breaking her own World Junior Record in the 100 backstroke<\/a>, among many more impressive performances from different athletes. Relive the awesome weekend of racing through the top ten tweets from the meet.<\/span><\/p>\n

Smith, at just 17 years old, swept all three backstroke events in Bloomington and won the 100 backstroke in Junior World Record fashion while posting the fourth fastest time in the world.<\/span><\/p>\n

The triumphant story line at Bloomington was Adrian\u2019s first swim since overcoming testicular cancer. Adrian was in high spirits and is still competing in World Championships this summer. He is back in the pool to train for Tokyo 2020.<\/span><\/p>\n

The breaststroke professional group at Indiana University made waves at their home pool. Lazor won the 200 by four seconds, setting a Pro Series record, the top time in the world and became the eighth fastest performer of all time. In the 50 and 100 breaststrokes, Lilly King<\/strong> took home the crowns while also posting the top times in the world.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

After a tough knee injury last summer, it is safe to say that Miller is back in top form after winning both the 100 and 200 breaststroke events and taking the lead for top swim of the TYR Pro Series. That 200 breaststroke earned him 947 FINA points, which puts him in line for a $10,000 bonus with only one Pro Series stop remaining. <\/span><\/p>\n
