NEW COMMIT:\u00a0<\/strong>Purdue University has received an in-state verbal commitment for the fall of 2020 from Carmel, Ind. native and current high school junior\u00a0Griffin Seaver<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Seaver swims year-round with Carmel Swim Club and most recently competed at Indianapolis Speedo Sectionals where he achieved 100% best times. He finished fourth in the mile at the Speedo Music City Invite in November and placed sixth in the 1500m free at Indiana LCM Seniors this past summer. Also competing for Carmel Swim Club, Seaver\u00a0raced to 13th in the 500 free at the Indiana State Championships during his junior season.<\/p>\n

He told\u00a0Swimming World:<\/em><\/p>\n

“I am incredibly excited to announce my verbal commitment to continue my academic and athletic career at Purdue University! I would like to thank my coaches, teammates, and family for all of their support.\u00a0Purdue offers an opportunity for me to excel both in my studies and in the pool. I chose Purdue University because of the great team culture Coach Ross and Coach Barnes have created.
