NEW COMMIT:\u00a0<\/strong>The University of Alabama has scored a new in-state verbal commitment for the fall of 2020 from current high school junior and talented breaststroker\u00a0Trey Sheils\u00a0<\/strong>of Daphne, Ala.<\/p>\n

Sheils swims year-round with TNT Swimming and owns three Summer Junior standards. He most recently competed at NCSAs where he finished 14th in the 100 breast and 15th in the 50 breast after notching five lifetime bests at the Southeastern Championships. He placed 15th in the 100 breast at Juniors East in December and earned bronze in the 100m breast at Southern Zone Seniors this past summer.<\/p>\n

Also competing for Daphne High School, Sheils is a four-time Alabama State Championship finalist and has earned USA Swimming Scholastic All-American honors.\u00a0He won the 100 breast and 200 IM as a junior after finishing first in the former event as well as third in the 100 free during his sophomore season.<\/p>\n
