The 2019 Mare Nostrum Tour will begin the 20th edition of the series in June, the next major international meet series after the FINA Champions Series wraps up in Indianapolis. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>2019 Mare Nostrum Schedule<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Monaco &#8211; June 8-9<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Canet en Roussillon &#8211; June 11-12<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Barcelona &#8211; June 15-16<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Meet organizers for Monaco have released a list that features athletes from 32 different countries. Aside from Adam Peaty, other notable swimmers expected to compete include Brazilians <\/span><b>Felipe Lima <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">and <\/span><b>Bruno Fratus\u00a0<\/b>as well as a strong Russian contingent that includes\u00a0<strong>Evgeny Rylov\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0<strong>Yulia Efimova<\/strong>. Americans\u00a0<strong>Tom Shields<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Michael Andrew<\/strong>, and\u00a0<strong>Madisyn Cox\u00a0<\/strong>should also be making appearances throughout the series.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Many of these swimmers have been active in the recent FINA Champions Series, and this tour will provide another opportunity for them to earn more cash as the continue to prep for the 2019 World Championships.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The tour will give out bonuses to the top four men and women overall after the three spots with a top performer selected at the end of the series.
