Bringing the heat in prelims, some of the U.S.&#8217;s marquee performers were prepared to turn heads when it counted. Their impressive mornings swims were things of the past, as world-class athletes like <strong>Katie Ledecky<\/strong>, <strong>Zane Grothe<\/strong>, <strong>Michael Andrew<\/strong>, and <strong>Ella Eastin<\/strong> set their sights on something bigger in Bloomington, IN. Early in the long-course season, the swimmers relied on the fuel of raw competition, but the times followed, prompting rumblings in the swim community.<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.swmeets.com\/Realtime\/Pro%20Series\/2019\/Bloomington\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Live Results<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/meet\/2019-tyr-pro-swim-series\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Swimming World\u2019s TYR Pro Series Page<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<h2>Women&#8217;s 200 Free<\/h2>\n<p>In true form, <strong>Katie Ledecky<\/strong> made another grueling race look easy, as she surged to a 1:55.80 finish in the women&#8217;s 200 free at the TYR Pro Swim Series in Bloomington. Pulling away from the pack shortly after the breakout, Ledecky seemed to lose no steam, finishing over a second earlier than her training partner, <strong>Simone Manuel<\/strong> (1:57.24).<\/p>\n<p><strong>Madisyn Cox<\/strong> continued to impress with a best time to start the night, touching in at 1:58.52 to cinch third. Gaining a healthy lead over<strong> Allison Schmitt<\/strong> (1:59.17), Cox has been a dangerous contender all meet, showcasing her skills in a variety of events. In fact, it took over three seconds faster than his prelims swim to finish the job. The two went stroke for stroke in the final 50, with Pieroni (1:47.25) coming out victorious.
