The two talked about her performances at the Arena Grand Prix in Minnesota, and her collegiate career thus far.<\/p>\n<p>Thompson also helped Smith open up to his listeners about her disappointing freshman season, and how she&#8217;s fought through that early adversity to earn CollegeSwimming.com National Swimmer of the Week honors this year.  <\/p>\n<p>Mike Thompson, a Swimming World contributor from Canada, is the senior sprint coach at the vaunted Oakville Aquatic Club in Canada.
