NEW COMMIT:\u00a0<\/strong>The University of Minnesota has earned an in-state verbal commitment for the fall of 2020 from Rosemount, Minn. native\u00a0Katia Soudakova<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Soudakova, who owns a pair of Winter Nationals time standards, does her club swimming with Riptide and most recently competed at Greensboro Speedo Sectionals where she earned bronze in the 500 free. She finished 16th in the mile and 18th in the 500 free at Juniors West in December and capped off her long course season by taking third in the 800m free at Rochester Futures this past summer.<\/p>\n

She told\u00a0Swimming World:<\/em><\/p>\n

“I am very grateful to be able to verbally commit to the University of Minnesota. They offer me everything I look for academically, and of course athletically. I am excited to see what the future as a Gopher has in store for me!”<\/strong><\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n
