NEW COMMIT:\u00a0<\/strong>The University of South Carolina has earned yet another verbal commitment for the 2020-21 season, this time from in-state sprinter\u00a0Aubrey Chandler\u00a0<\/strong>of Tega Cay, S.C.<\/p>\n

The Gamecocks have been on top of their recruiting game for next fall, snagging three other in-state recruits in Emma Sullivan<\/strong><\/a>,\u00a0Gabi Reed<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0Riley Parker<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>who will join Chandler next fall, in addition to Olivia McPherson<\/strong><\/a>,\u00a0Megan Armstrong<\/strong><\/a>,\u00a0Meredith Berglund<\/strong><\/a>and\u00a0Kaitlyn Porter<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n

Chandler does her club swimming with Upper Palmetto YMCA Stingrays and owns the U.S. Open cut in the 50 free with the Summer Juniors standard in the 100 free. She most recently competed at YMCA Nationals where she finished seventh in the 50 free and ninth in the 100 free after winning both of those events at the South Carolina SCY Championships. This past summer, she earned gold in the 50m free at South Carolina LCM Championships before going on to grab bronze in that event at YMCA LCM Nationals.<\/p>\n

Also competing for Fort Mill High School, Chandler is a six-time South Carolina 5A State Championship finalist.\u00a0She won the 50\/100 free combo as a junior after finishing first and second, respectively, in those events during her sophomore season.<\/p>\n
