NEW COMMIT:\u00a0<\/strong>Atlanta, Ga. native and current high school junior\u00a0Abby Pilkenton\u00a0<\/strong>has verbally committed to NC State for the 2020-21 season and beyond.<\/p>\n

Pilkenton, who owns six Summer Juniors standards, swims year-round with Dynamo Swim Club and most recently competed at the Southern Premier Invitational where her highest finish was a fourth-place showing in the 100 free. She finished 15th in the 100 free and 17th in the 200 free at Juniors East in December and capped off her long course season with a gold medal in the 400m free at Cary Futures this past summer.<\/p>\n

Also competing for Holy Innocents Episcopal High School, Pilkenton is a six-time Georgia 1-5A State Championship finalist.\u00a0She won the 100\/200 free combo during both her sophomore and junior seasons after finishing third and fourth, respectively, in those events during her rookie campaign. She has also earned both NISCA and USA Swimming Scholastic All-American honors for her efforts.<\/p>\n
