In her message she also said she was still feeling the effects of a recent bout of the flu. Vollmer&#8217;s season best stands at a 59.27 from the Knoxville stop of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/2019-tyr-pro-swim-series-knoxville-day-two-finals-live-recap\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">TYR Pro Swim Series<\/a> in January.<\/p>\n<p>The three-time Olympian and former world record holder in the 100 fly has been hitting the competition pool more frequently following the birth of her <a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/dana-vollmer-gives-birth-to-second-son-ryker-alexander-grant\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">second son in 2017<\/a>, publicly stating she is shooting for a spot on the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/dana-vollmer-focused-on-2020-will-not-swim-at-phillips-66-u-s-nationals-most-likely\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">2020 Olympic Team<\/a>. If she were to make her fourth Olympic team, she would be the fourth American woman to do so, joining Americans <strong>Jenny Thompson<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Amanda Beard\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0<strong>Dara Torres<\/strong>.
