She most recently competed at YMCA SCY Nationals where she placed 19th in the 100 breast and took eighth in the 200 breast at Greensboro Speedo Sectionals.\u00a0This past summer, she earned a trio of best times at YMCA LCM Nationals after racing to eighth in the 400m free at the South Carolina LCM Championships.<\/p>\n<p>Also competing for Clover High School, Hines is a six-time South Carolina 5A State Championship finalist.\u00a0She earned bronze in the 200 free and finished fourth in the 500 free as a junior after placing fourth and fifth, respectively, in those events during her sophomore season.<\/p>\n<p>She told\u00a0<em>Swimming World:<\/em><\/p>\n<blockquote><p><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><strong>&#8220;I am honored and excited to announce my verbal commitment to swim and study at the United States Air Force Academy! I cannot wait to join such an amazing group of people and eventually serve my country. Thank you to my friends, family, coaches, and teammates who have supported me along the way.
