NEW COMMIT:\u00a0<\/strong>Notre Dame has gained a new verbal commitment for the fall of 2020 from Libertyville, Ill. native and current high school junior\u00a0Emma Gleason<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Gleason, who does her club swimming with Patriot Aquatic Club, owns the Summer Juniors standard in both fly events. She most recently competed at NCSAs where her highest finish was a 17th-place showing in the 200 fly after winning that event at Illinois Seniors. At Juniors West, she placed 10th in her signature event and raced both fly events at Junior Nationals this past summer.<\/p>\n

Also competing for Libertyville High School, Gleason is a three-time Illinois State Championship finalist.\u00a0The USA Swimming Scholastic All-American finished fifth in the 100 fly and 12th in the 200 free as a junior after taking eighth in the former during her sophomore season.<\/p>\n

She told\u00a0Swimming World:<\/em><\/p>\n
