\nThe Big Spring Aquatic Club held its fourth annual Pumpkin Splash November 16 at the Big Springs (Pennsylvania) High School. It was an early-season chance for swimmers to compete in several varieties of events.<\/p>\n

\nThe Crawley Swimming Club hosted the Not So Early Bird Open at the K2 pool in Crawley, West Sussex, England November 16-17.<\/p>\n

HIGH SCHOOL
\nGLENBROOK SOUTH SECTIONAL
\nNew Trier High School in Winnetka earned the team title at the Glenbrook South Sectional Championships November 16. New Trier scored 275 points to Loyola Academy’s 243. The host Glenbrook South squad placed third with 180 points, followed by Evanston Township (164) and Glenbrook North (152).<\/p>\n
The results of this meet, along with several other sectional championships, qualified swimmers for this weekend’s Illinois Girls State High School Championships. <\/p>\n

COLLEGE
\nEMORY VS. GEORGIA
\nGeorgia earned its fifth dual meet sweep this season with a 137-73 triumph by the men’s squad and 130-97 for the women’s team. The Bulldogs now have a 5-1 record, and the women are undefeated at 6-0. The women brought their home dual meet victory record to 86, dating back to 1995. Georgia swam exhibitions during the second half of the meet and earned first place in every event.<\/p>\n
At the Bulldogs’ next meet January 4 against North Carolina State, Coach Jack Bauerle will attempt to reach the 500 career victory mark.<\/p>\n

WHEATON-KEENE STATE-SPRINGFIELD
\nThe sixth-ranked Keene State Owls (NCAA Division 3) claimed dual meet victories November 16 over the Springfield Pride and the Wheaton Lyons at Springfield College’s home pool in Springfield, Massachusetts. The Owls were able to improve their record to 4-1 with a 212-88 win over Springfield and 230.5-67.5 triumph over Wheaton.<\/p>\n
The Keene State women’s team, ranked 15th in NCAA Division 3, defeated Wheaton 225-54, but fell to Spring field 160-133.<\/p>\n

WESLEYAN VS. BRANDEIS
\nThe Brandeis Judges opened the home portion of their dual meet season with losses to the visiting Wesleyan Cardinals. The men’s team fell 135-102 while the women, who only had three swimmers competing, lost 217-35.<\/p>\n

VERMONT VS. BRYANT WOMEN, KEENE STATE VS. BRYANT MEN
\nThe Vermont Catamounts defeated the Bryant Bulldog women’s team, 169.5-114.5, November 17 at the Forbush Natatorium. The Lady Bulldogs have never beaten Vermont in their dual meet history. <\/p>\n
The Keene State Owls scored 174 points to Bryant’s 121 in the men’s portion of the meet.<\/p>\n
