NEW COMMIT:\u00a0<\/strong>St. Charles, Ill. native and current high school junior\u00a0Megan Armstrong\u00a0<\/strong>has selected the University of South Carolina and will arrive on campus as a member of the class of 2024.<\/p>\n

Armstrong, who does her club swimming with St. Charles Swim Team, owns the U.S. Open cut in the 100 back with the Summer Juniors standard in the 200 back. She most recently competed at the Illinois Senior Championships where she won the 100 back and took second in the 200 back. At Juniors West, she recorded a best time and raced both backstroke events at Junior Nationals this past summer.<\/p>\n

Also competing for St. Charles North High School, Armstrong is a four-time Illinois State Championship finalist. The NISCA and USA Swimming Scholastic All-American\u00a0won the 100 back as a junior after placing seventh in that event as well as 12th in the 200 free during her sophomore season.<\/p>\n
