NEW COMMIT:\u00a0<\/strong>Katy, Texas freestyler and butterflyer\u00a0Ethan Autry<\/strong> has elected to stay in-state next year after committing to Texas Christian University as a member of the class of 2023.<\/p>\n

Autry does his club swimming with Katy Aquatic Team for Youth and owns the U.S. Open standard in the 100 fly with the Winter Juniors cut in the 50 free. He most recently competed at College Station Speedo Sectionals where he placed 12th in the 100m fly after finishing 19th in that event at Juniors West in December. This past summer, he notched five best times with five top-10 finishes at Southern Zone Seniors.<\/p>\n

Also competing for Seven Lakes High School, Autry is a five-time Texas UIL 6A State Championship finalist.\u00a0He took fourth in the 100 fly and seventh in the 50 free as a senior after finishing 10th and 15th, respectively, in those events during his junior season.<\/p>\n
