He most recently competed at the Southern Premier Invitational where he had four top-12 finishes after placing seventh in the 100 free at Juniors East in December.<\/p>\n<p>Also competing for Trinity Prep School, Uttley is a six-time Florida 1A State Championship finalist.\u00a0He won the 100\/200 free combo as a junior after placing first and fifth, respectively, in those events during his sophomore season. Uttley has also earned both NISCA and USA Swimming Scholastic All-American honors for his efforts.<\/p>\n<p>He told\u00a0<em>Swimming World:<\/em><\/p>\n<blockquote><p><span style=\"color: #008000;\"><strong>&#8220;Diving into my future! I have decided to commit to Notre Dame! Thank you so much to my coach Rocco Aceto for all he has done transforming me into the swimmer and person I am today. Additional thanks to all the coaches that have helped me on the way, Coach Scott, Coach Anne Marie, Coach Dan, Coach John, Coach Jess, and Coach Meisel. I want to thank my parents for supporting me every day and always being my biggest fans. Additional thanks to Coach Mike and Coach Aaron for the opportunity to swim under them! I also want to thank the entire Trinity crew for pushing me everyday in practice. Thank you to everyone that has helped me reach this point. Go Irish!&#8221;<\/strong><\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>His best times include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>50 free &#8211; 20.48<\/li>\n<li>100 free &#8211; 44.64<\/li>\n<li>200 free &#8211; 1:37.86<\/li>\n<li>100 fly &#8211; 49.21<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>When he suits up for the Fighting Irish as a member of the class of 2024, Uttley will add his talents to training groups that&#8217;ll include\u00a0<strong>Brendan Santana<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Marci Barta\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0<strong>Zachary Smith<\/strong>.
