In its last summer of international competition before the Olympic Games Tokyo 2020, USA Swimming has announced its coaching staffs for the 2019 FINA World Championships, World University Games and Pan American Games. National Team Managing Director Lindsay Mintenko<\/strong> appointed 22 of the country\u2019s top coaches to lead the three U.S. international teams.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are fortunate to have excellent collegiate and club coaches in this country and proud of the men and women who will play a big part in our overall positive culture and success this summer,\u201d Mintenko said.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cNot only do these international competitions help refine and prepare the U.S.\u2019s top swimmers, but they allow us to provide valuable leadership and development opportunities for our national coaches.\u201d<\/strong><\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Pan American Games<\/h3>\n

At the Pan American Games, July 26-August 11 in Lima, Peru, USA Swimming has selected Matt Kredich<\/strong> (Tennessee Swimming) to lead the men\u2019s team, while Steve Bultman<\/strong> (Texas A&M Swimming) will coach the women\u2019s team.<\/p>\n

During Kredich\u2019s time at Tennessee, the 14-year coach was twice named SEC Women\u2019s Coach of the Year, in 2008 and 2012. Before his arrival at Tennessee, Kredich was the women\u2019s head coach at the University of Richmond, where he won Atlantic-10 Coach of the Year four-consecutive years from 2002-05.<\/p>\n

Bultman has led the Aggies program to six conference championships and has seen every school record broken during his time at the helm of the team. Internationally, Bultman was an assistant on both the 1988 and 2012 U.S. Olympic swimming coaching staffs. He also held assistant coach titles at the 1985 Pan Pacific Championships, the 2001, 2009 and 2015 World University Games and the 2013 FINA World Championships.<\/p>\n
