NEW COMMIT:\u00a0<\/strong>Charleston, S.C. native\u00a0Zachary Moody<\/strong> has announced his commitment to Ball State University as a member of the class of 2023.<\/p>\n

Moody swims year-round with South Carolina Swim Club and most recently competed at Greensboro Speedo Sectionals where he recorded four best times and finished 16th in the mile after registering five top-15 finishes at the South Carolina SCY Championships. This past summer, he competed in seven events at South Carolina LCM Championships with his highest finish being a pair of ninth-place showings in the 800m\/1500m free.<\/p>\n

Also competing for Academic Magnet School, Moody is an eight-time South Carolina 3A State Championship finalist.\u00a0He finished third in the 500 free and sixth in the 200 IM as a senior after taking second in both events during his junior season.<\/p>\n

He told\u00a0Swimming World:<\/em><\/p>\n

“I\u2019m super excited to finally announce my commitment to swim and study at Ball State University in the fall! My goals in this sport align with the direction that Coach J is taking the team, and I am thrilled to be a part of this upward trajectory. I\u2019d like to thank my family, friends, and all of my coaches over the years who have helped me to reach my goals. I can\u2019t wait to spend my next four years as a Cardinal! Chirp Chirp!”<\/strong><\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n
