NEW COMMIT:\u00a0<\/strong>Kingwood, Texas native and current high school junior\u00a0Victor Tremblay\u00a0<\/strong>will remain in-state for his college career after verbally committing to the Longhorns as a member of the class of 2024.<\/p>\n

Tremblay does his club swimming with Blue Tide Aquatics and owns three Winter Juniors time standards. He most recently competed at College Station Speedo Sectionals where he recorded four best times after racing three events at Juniors West in December. This past summer, he notched 100% lifetime bests at the NCSA LCM Championships.<\/p>\n

Also competing for Kingwood High School, Tremblay is a four-time Texas UIL 6A State Championship finalist. He was the 200 free runner-up and took fifth in the 100 free as a junior after placing sixth and eighth, respectively, in those events during his sophomore season.<\/p>\n

Regarding his commitment, he said:<\/p>\n

“I\u2019m super thrilled to announce my verbal commitment to study and swim at the University of Texas. I want to thank my family, friends, and my coaches for helping me to achieve this opportunity by inspiring me along the way. I\u2019m very excited to be a part of a school with such a great athletic and academic program! Hook \u2018em!”<\/strong><\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n
