NEW COMMIT:\u00a0<\/strong>West Virginia University has been handed their first verbal commitment for Fall 2020 from Annandale, Va. breaststroker\u00a0Joe Schaefer<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Schaefer swims year-round with Machine Aquatics and owns the Winter Juniors standard in both breaststroke events. He most recently competed at NCSAs where his highest finish was a 23rd-place showing in the 200 breast after earning a trio of best times at the Potomac Valley Championships. This past summer, he finished 21st in the 100m breast at NCSAs and won the 200m IM at Potomac Juniors.\u00a0Also competing for WT Woodson High School, Schaefer\u00a0took sixth in the 100 breast and 12th in the 200 IM as a junior at the Virginia 6A State Championships.<\/p>\n

He told\u00a0Swimming World:<\/em><\/p>\n
