The theme of fast swimming continues with more cut times achieved and personal bests of the year set at today&#8217;s meet. Events for day five included the Men&#8217;s 800 free, Women&#8217;s 100 free, Men&#8217;s 200 back, and the Men and Women&#8217;s 200 breast.<\/p>\n<p>Highlights of the day included French record holder <strong>Charlotte Bonnet<\/strong> repeating her title in the 100 free. On the men&#8217;s side Antoine Marc, fifth seed, upset the field in the 200 breast claiming first.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.liveffn.com\/cgi-bin\/resultats.php?competition=59299&amp;langue=fra\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">LIVE RESULTS<\/a><\/p>\n<h2>Men&#8217;s 800 Free<\/h2>\n<p>Dominating the competition was <strong>David Aubry<\/strong> of Montpellier Metropole in the time of 7:46.30. In second from was <strong>Marc-Antoine Oliver<\/strong> of Denain Nat. Door of Hainaut touching in 7:53.12. Third went to <strong>Joris Bouchaut<\/strong> of Stage of Vanves in 7:54.19. Just missing third was <strong>Damien Joly<\/strong> (7:54.89). Also claiming spots among the top eight were <strong>Paul Beaugrand<\/strong> (7:59.37) fifth, <strong>Tommy-Lee Camblong<\/strong> (8:00.62) sixth, <strong>Logan Fountain<\/strong> (8:11.24) seventh, and <strong>Logan Vanhuys<\/strong> (8:15.07) eighth.<\/p>\n<h2>Women&#8217;s 100 Free<\/h2>\n<p>Hitting the wall first was French record holder <strong>Charlotte Bonnet<\/strong> of Olympic Nice in the time of 53.29, less than a second off of her own record. The top four also made FINA &#8220;A cut&#8221; times, with <strong>Beryl Gastaldello<\/strong> of CN Marseille hitting second in 53.84. Third&#8217;s <strong>Marie Wattel<\/strong> of Montepellier Metropole clocked in at 54.29, and fourth&#8217;s <strong>Lena Bousquin<\/strong> would just make the Fina A cut touching at 54.45. In fifth was <strong>Anouchka Martin<\/strong> (54.49), sixth <strong>Margaux Farbe<\/strong> (54.62), seventh <strong>Faustine Prouff<\/strong> (55.75), and eighth <strong>Assia Touati<\/strong> (56.00).<\/p>\n<h2>Men&#8217;s 200 Back<\/h2>\n<p>Touching first, just off of the FINA A cut time was <strong>Geoffroy Mathieu<\/strong> of Stadium Clermont in 1:58.86. In second from Dolphins Toulouse was <strong>Antoine Herlem<\/strong> in 2:00.62. In a close race, <strong>Christophe Brun <\/strong>of CN Antibes would hit third just behind Herlem in 2:00.66. Rounding out the top eight was <strong>Mewen Tomac<\/strong> (2:00.71) in fourth, <strong>Maxence Orange<\/strong> (2:00.89) fifth, <strong>Souhaiel Chatti<\/strong> (2:01.70) sixth, <strong>Milan Vlaovic\u00a0<\/strong>(2:01.70) seventh, and <strong>Simon Brief<\/strong> (2:02.88) eighth.<\/p>\n<h2>Women&#8217;s 200 Breast<\/h2>\n<p>In a close race for first, <strong>Fanny Deberghes <\/strong>of ASPTT Montpellier would take the title clocking in at 2:25.60 just shy of the French record set at 2:25.19, but making a FINA A cut standard. <strong>Camille Dauba<\/strong> of CN Sarreguemines would join Deberghes for a FINA A cut time touching just behind at 2:25.69. Hitting third was <strong>Fantine Lesaffre<\/strong> of Stage of Vanves in 2:26.48. Fourth was <strong>Justine Delmas<\/strong> (2:30.35), fifth <strong>Charlotte Simon<\/strong> (2:31.26), sixth <strong>Lise Michels<\/strong> (2:32.02), seventh <strong>Lara Grangeon<\/strong> (2:32.06), and eighth <strong>Lucie Delmas<\/strong> (2:34.09).<\/p>\n<h2>Men&#8217;s 200 Breast<\/h2>\n<p><strong>Antoine Marc<\/strong> of Mulhouse ON surprised the field moving from his fifth place seed to claim first in a time of 2:12.08. <strong>Jeremy Desplanches<\/strong> of Olympic Nice finished second in 2:12.45. Claiming his spot in the top three was <strong>Antoine Viquerat<\/strong> of Dolphins Toulouse in the time of 2:12.52.
