Your 2019 French Championship title holder in the women’s 50 back is Beryl Gastaldello<\/strong> with a time of 27.98. Silver went to Lila Touili<\/strong> swimming a solid 28.37. Behind her grabbing a bronze medal in the event was Mathilde Cini<\/strong> with a time of 28.64. Fourth place went to Pauline Mahieu<\/strong> hitting the wall at 28.77. Mathilde Jean<\/strong> finished in fifth with a time of 28.88. Sixth place finisher was Laurine Theman<\/strong> with a time of 29.16. Amel Melih<\/strong> finished in seventh swimming a time of 29.59, and in eighth place was Alexe Herthe<\/strong> with a time of 29.63.<\/p>\nMen’s 100 Free<\/h3>\n
The men’s sprint event for the night proved to show some tight races. Mehdy Metella<\/strong> won the men’s 100 free with a time of 48.27, making him the seventh fastest male 100 freestyler in the world. Taking home a silver medal in the event was Clement Mignon<\/strong> with a time of 48.54. Meanwhile, bronze went to Osama Sahnoune<\/strong> with a time of 58.73. Finishing in fourth was Jeremy Stravius<\/strong> posting a time of 48.79. Tom Paco Pedroni<\/strong> finished in fifth with a time of 49.12. Sixth place went to Maxime Grousset<\/strong> hitting the touchpad at 49.22. Kyllian Brenon<\/strong> touched the wall in seventh place with a time of 49.82, while Jordan Pothain<\/strong> was right behind him in eighth with a time of 49.95.<\/p>\nWomen’s 200 Fly<\/h3>\n
The winner of the women’s 200 fly at this years 2019 French Championships is Lara Grangeon<\/strong> with a time of 2:09.50. Taking home in silver in the event was Camille Cottier<\/strong> posting a time of 2:14.70. Bronze went to Gwladys Larzul<\/strong> with a time of 2:14.88. Fourth place finisher was Alice Aubry<\/strong> hitting the wall at 2:16.36. Faustine Barale<\/strong> finished in fifth with a time of 2:16.78. Sixth place went to Sarah Oualid Girard<\/strong> swimming a time of 2:16.91. Alexia Boute<\/strong> touched the wall in seventh place at 2:18.44 and in eighth was Sarah Moreau<\/strong> with a time of 2:18.80.<\/p>\nMen’s 200 I.M.<\/h3>\n
Taking home yet another medal at the 2019 French Championships is Jeremy Desplanches<\/strong> winning the men’s 200 I.M. with a time of 1:56.89. Depsalches improved his current Fina seed in the event from seventh to now the fourth fastest male 200 IMer in the world. Taking home silver in the event was Samy Helmbacher<\/strong> with a time of 2:00.38. Bronze went to Clement Bidard<\/strong> hitting the touchpad at 2:00.90.\u00a0 Fourth place went to Leon Marchand<\/strong> with a time of 2:01.22. Theo Berry<\/strong> finished in fifth with a time of 2:01.91. Sixth place went to Guillaume Laure<\/strong> posting a time of 2:03.06. In seventh place was Geoffrey Renard<\/strong> with a time of 2:03.14. Wrapping up the top eight was Alexandre Derache<\/strong> with a time of 2:03.46.<\/p>\nWomen’s 400 I.M<\/h3>\n
Winning the event was Fantine LeSaffre<\/strong> with a time of 4:37.74 now making her the fifth fastest female worldwide in this event. Winning another medal on day four of the 2019 French Championships was Lara Grangeon<\/strong> taking home silver in the women’s 400 I.M. with a time of 4:41.21. Bronze went to Cyrielle Duhamel<\/strong> with a time of 4:46.11. Fourth place went to Juliette Drevet<\/strong> posting a time of 4;55.64. Naome Horter<\/strong> finished in fifth with a time of 4:56.08. Sixth place finisher was Alexandra Dobrin<\/strong> swimming a time of 4:56.70. Finishing in seventh place was Camille Tissandie<\/strong> with a time of 4:57.96 and in eighth place was Raphaelle Anglade<\/strong> touching the wall at 5:00.90.<\/p>\nMen’s 800 Free<\/h3>\n
To wrap up day four of competition at the 2019 French Championships was the men’s 800 Free. Taking home gold and swimming the eight fastest men’s 800 free time in the world according to FINA top ten rankings was Daminen Joly<\/strong>. Joly swam a solid 7:51.54 to win the event. Shortly behind Joly was David Aubry<\/strong> hitting the wall at 7:51.82 marking him as the eight fastest male 800 free swimmer in the world by Fina standards. Bronze went to Joris Bouchaut<\/strong> with a time of 7:58.86. Finishing in fourth place was Paul Beaugrand<\/strong> just one hundredth of a second behind Bouchaut posting a time of 7:58.87. Marc-Antoine Oliver<\/strong> finished in fifth with a time of 8:00.07. Sixth place went to Ahmed-Ayoub Hafnaoui<\/strong> with a time of 8:01.31. Logan Fountain<\/strong> earned himself another top eight finish at the 2019 French championship finishing in seventh place in the 800 free with a time of 8:04.00.
