He earned bronze in the 500 free at the Illinois Senior Championships with five additional top-20 finishes after taking third in the 200m fly at NCSAs this past summer. Also competing for Neuqua Valley High School, Hiss is a three-time Illinois State Championship finalist.\u00a0He placed third in the 500 free and ninth in the 200 free as a senior after taking 11th in the former during his junior season.<\/p>\n<p>He told\u00a0<em>Swimming World:<\/em><\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<div><span style=\"color: #008000;\"><strong>\u201cI loved Michigan State when I first stepped foot on campus, the coaching staff and team were amazing and there is no place I would rather be than Michigan State University! Go Green!\u201d\u00a0<\/strong><\/span><\/div>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>His best times include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>200 IM &#8211; 1:54.95<\/li>\n<li>200 free &#8211; 1:40.87<\/li>\n<li>500 free &#8211; 4:33.26<\/li>\n<li>1000 free &#8211; 9:29.77<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>When he arrives in East Lansing for the 2019-20 season, Hiss will add his talents to a training group that&#8217;ll include\u00a0<strong>Aidan Farley<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Guy Moskovic<\/strong> and\u00a0<strong>Josh Lantow<\/strong>.
