OTTAWA, Ontario, October 30. SWIMMING Canada’s annual awards will be taking on a new format this year, and fans will once again have the opportunity to have their say.<\/p>\n
The 2013 Big Splash Awards Week will be a weeklong celebration of Canada’s best swimmers and their accomplishments throughout the year. Swimming Canada will be announcing a number of awards including six major individual awards between Nov. 22 and 29. <\/p>\n
Award categories to be announced during the 2013 Big Splash Awards Week include:

\n2013 OMEGA Male and Female Swimmers of the Year
\n*
\n2013 Team Aquatic Supplies Para-Swimming Male and Female Swimmers of the Year
\n*
\nOpen Water Swimmer of the Year<\/p>\n
Top coaches in each of the above categories will also be recognized.<\/p>\n
The popular People’s Choice Race of the Year award returns in 2013. Nominees and details on the voting process will be announced soon. <\/p>\n
These major awards will be announced on a variety of radio and\/or television programs during the week. More details on these announcements will be released in the coming weeks. <\/p>\n
