EACH week, Swimming World is proud to bring you a roundup of the honors given to swimmers and divers by the various NCAA Division I conferences, based on performances from the past week in the pool.

Atlantic Coast Conference
Male Swimmer of the Week: Dominick Glavich, North Carolina
Glavich swam fast in North Carolina’s tour of Texas last weekend, winning the 200 fly against Texas and Texas Christian. Glavich’s best swims came in Austin, when he placed second to Texas’ Jack Conger in the 100 fly with an impressive 48.65, and won the 200 fly with a 1:45.41. UNC is looking to fill the gap left by graduating Tom Luchsinger, and Glavich looks to be stepping into that role.

Female Swimmer of the Week: Stephanie Peacock, North Carolina
Peacock was busy last week in Texas, swimming a dual meet against Texas, then competing in the SMU Classic on Friday evening, a dual meet against TCU on Saturday morning and the final session of the SMU Classic on Saturday night. She posted what is now the fastest 1000 free in the country in the dual meet with Texas, winning with a 9:42.95. Peacock just missed out on a win in the 500 free at the SMU Classic, placing second with a 4:42.55.

Male Diver of the Week: Jack Nyquist, North Carolina
Standing on the diving boards against a strong Texas squad, Nyquist managed to win the 3-meter competition by 20 points and was fourth in the 1-meter event. Two days later, he won both diving event against TCU.

Female Diver of the Week: Kelsey Goodman, Florida State
In the winning dual meet against Florida Gulf Coast, Goodman won the 1-meter springboard event with 322.20 and set a school record in winning the 3-meter event with 373.05 points.

American Athletic Conference
Male Swimmer of the Week: Kameron Chastain, Louisville
Chastain takes this weekly honor on the strength of four wins (two individual, two relay) at the dual meet against Xavier on October 11. Chastain won both breaststrokes and was part of both winning relays at the meet. Chastain’s win in the 100 breast came in 56.44 and his win in the 200 was in a time of 2:05.17. In a show of diversity, he swam the opening leg of the 200 free relay in 21.29.

Female Swimmer of the Week: Tanja Kylliainen, Louisville
It should come as no surprise that Kyllainen wins this weekly award from the American Athletic Conference. She picked up the Swimmer of the Meet award at the SMU Classic after winning three events in Dallas. In addition to the 400 IM on the first day of the meet, she won the 200 fly and 200 IM with only about 10 minutes rest between each, and was close to lifetime bests in both. Kylliainen was also given the Speedo Performance of the Week earlier today by Swimming World.

Big Ten Conference
Male Swimmer of the Week: John Hauser, Penn State
In the dual meet against West Virginia, Hauser was the standout for the Nittany Lions, winning the 50 free (20.14) and 100 free (44.39) in addition to helping with the 400 free relay. Both times put Hauser in the top 10 nationally among college swimmers, and set a pool record in the 50 free.

Female Swimmer of the Week: Brooklynn Snodgrass, Indiana
Snodgrass was the star swimmer for the Hoosiers at the SMU Classic, winning both backstroke events (53.18, 1:54.08) with times that put her first in the nation in the 100 back and second in the 200 back.

Male Diver of the Week: Jamie Bissett, Purdue
The Canadian won both springboard diving events in the dual meet on October 18 against Miami (Ohio), qualifying for the NCAA Zone meet in the process.

Female Diver of the Week: Maggie Keefer, Minnesota
Minnesota keeps its streak alive in the Diver of the Week category, taking the third-straight honor as Keefer claims the award for the second time. She won both diving events in the two-day dual meet against Wisconsin.

Male Freshman of the Week: Daryl Turner, Minnesota
Turner swam in all four of the winning relays during the two-day dual meet last weekend against Wisconsin and placed second to teammate Derek Toomey in the 50 free (20.76) and second to Wisconsin’s Drew teDuits in the 100 back (48.83). Turner was named conference swimmer of the week on October 8 as well.

Female Freshman of the Week: Gia Dalesandro, Indiana
The butterfly events got a little stronger for the Hoosiers, thanks to Dalesandro’s contributions last weekend at the SMU Classic. She was second in the 100 fly with a 53.35 and posted the sixth-fastest 400 IM (4:22.66) and fifth-fastest 200 fly (1:59.60), in addition to helping Indiana win both medley relays.

Conference USA
Female Swimmer of the Week: Sonia Perez, Florida International
Perez helped FIU beat West Florida on October 19 with a diverse pair of wins. The senior from Spain took the 100 backstroke with a time of 58.70, and her time of 4:20.93 is the fastest in the conference by nine seconds.

Female Diver of the Week: Lily Kaufman, Florida International
Kaufman also played a big part in helping FIU beat West Florida by winning the 3-meter springboard competition at the meet with 270.90 points. She also placed second on the 1-meter board.

Horizon League
Male Swimmer of the Week: Jorden Merrilees, Oakland
Merrilees won three events to help Oakland bet Illinois-Chicago last weekend. The Aussie posted a 1:39.73 in the 200 free, 4:32.03 in the 500 free and 200 IM with a 1:53.56.

Female Swimmer of the Week: Emily McClellan, Milwaukee
McClellan, an NCAA All-American in the breaststroke events, started her season with a 1:01.47 in the dual meet against Grand Valley State, as well as a 57.92 in the 100 fly.

Male Diver of the Week: K.J. Heger, Milwaukee
Heger set a school record in winning the 3-meter competition against Grand Valley State, earning 378.97. He also won the 1-meter event with 334.05 points, qualifying for the NCAA zone meet in both events.

Female Diver of the Week: Tricia Grant, Oakland
In the dual meet against Chicago, Grant scored victories in both diving events, scoring 319.80 on the 1-meter springboard and 274.20 in 3-meter.

Patriot League
Male Swimmer of the Week: Jonathan DeBaugh, Navy
With the government back in action, so were the Navy swimming and diving teams, and DeBaugh shone at the dual meet against UMBC on Friday. DeBaugh, a sophomore, won both butterfly races (50.63, 1:52.99) for the first time in his collegiate career.

Female Swimmer of the Week: Lauren Baguley, Navy
Like DeBaugh, Baguley also picked up her first collegiate wins in the dual against UMBC, taking both backstroke races. The senior won the 100 back with a 58.72 and the 200 back in 2:06.28.

Male Diver of the Week: Wil Mayo, Navy
Mayo was also victorious in Navy’s dual-meet win over UMBC with a victory on the 1-meter springboard with 279.97 points. He also placed third in the 3-meter event.

Female Diver of the Week: Melissa Parker, American
Parker was a double winner in the unscored dual meet against crosstown rival Howard last weekend, with a score of 221.55 on the 1-meter springboard and 244.80 on 3-meter.

Honorable mention swimmers and divers
Louis Behnen (Bucknell), Andrew Higgins (Holy Cross), Julie Jesse (Navy), Rachel McGoff (Bucknell), Paris Wood (American), Matt Wurm (American)

Southeastern Conference
Male Swimmer of the Week: Sean Lehane, Tennessee
Lehane put himself in the national conversation of rising backstrokers over the weekend with a 1:45.51 in the 200 back in the dual meet against South Carolina. That time ranks him second in the nation, in the middle of a talented list of national and international finalists. He also won the 100 back with a 48.36, good enough for sixth in the nation.

Female Swimmer of the Week: Elizabeth Beisel, Florida
Showing off her distance freestyle prowess last week, Beisel briefly had the fastest time in the nation in the 1000 free with a 9:43.79 in her dual meet against Missouri, then followed that up with 4:45.91 in the 500 free in the meet against California, not far off her nation-leading 4:45.04. Though she didn’t win the 200 IM in the meet against Cal, her 1:58.29 puts her in the top three in the nation.

Male Diver of the Week: Cole Miller, South Carolina
Showing progress on the 3-meter springboard, the Canadian won that event against Tennessee with an impressive 409.28 points and finished second in the 1-meter event.

Female Diver of the Week: Ann-Perry Blank, Georgia
In the dual meets against Georgia Tech and LSU, Blank went undefeated in diving, taking the 1-meter and 3-meter events both times. Her best score on 1-meter was 295.27 against Georgia Tech and she earned a week-high 343.73 against LSU.

Male Freshman of the Week: David Heron, Tenneesse
The Mission Viejo distance prodigy made a name for himself in the dual meet against South Carolina, winning the 500 free (4:31.98) and 1000 free (9:17.80). The 1000 free was good enough for a top-15 ranking.

Female Freshman of the Week: Kara Kopcso, Louisiana State
Kopcso was the only Tiger to win an event against powerhouse Georgia, taking the 200 fly in 1:59.06. A day later, she won the same race in 2:01.00.

PHOENIX, Arizona, October 22.
