NEW COMMIT:\u00a0<\/strong>Louisville, Ky. native\u00a0Alex Blom\u00a0<\/strong>has declared his intention to continue his academic and swimming career at the University of Denver as a member of the class of 2023.<\/p>\n

Blom swims year-round with Lakeside Swim Team and owns the Summer Juniors cut in the 200 breast. He most recently competed at the Kentucky SCY Championships where he recorded a lifetime bests after finishing seventh in the 200 breast at the Southern Premier Invite. He recorded 100% lifetime bests at Juniors East in December en route to placing 16th in the 200 breast and competed in the 200m breast at Junior Nationals this past summer.<\/p>\n

Also competing for Louisville Collegiate High School, Blom is a four-time Kentucky State Championship finalist. The two-time USA Swimming Scholastic All-American raced to\u00a0eighth in both the 100 breast and 200 IM as a senior after placing ninth and 15th, respectively, in those events during his junior season.<\/p>\n
