NEW COMMIT:\u00a0<\/strong>The University of Missouri has earned their first verbal commitment for the class of 2024 from Plymouth, Minn. native\u00a0Sierra Smith<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Primarily a sprint freestyler, Smith does her club swimming with Life Time Swim Team and owns the U.S. Open cut in the 50 free with a Winter Juniors standard in the 100 free. She most recently competed at NCSAs where she finished 15th in the 100 free with four new personal best times. Smith capped off her successful long course season by placing second in the 50m free and fourth in the 100m free at Rochester Futures this past summer.<\/p>\n

Also competing for Armstrong High School, Smith is a five-time Minnesota 2A State Championship finalist.\u00a0She was the runner-up in both the 100 free and 200 free as a junior after placing ninth and third, respectively, in those events during her sophomore season.<\/p>\n
