The final session of the 2019 Dutch Swimming Championships came to a close this morning, and Dutch sprint stars <\/span>Ranomi Kromowidjojo <\/b>and <\/span>Femke Heemskerk <\/b>were back at it battling it out in the 50 free. <\/span><\/p>\n

While Heemskerk got to the wall first in yesterday\u2019s 100 free (53.52), it was Kromowidjojo who got her hand to the wall first in the finals of the 50. The Olympic gold medalist popped a 24.65 in prelims to take the top seed before lowering her time in 24.60 in the next morning\u2019s finals. That beat out Heemskerk, who was two tenths back in second place with a 24.82. That gives Kromowidjojo a qualifying time for the event at World Championships this summer and moves her up to #3 in the world for 2019. <\/span><\/p>\n

National record holder <\/span>Jesse Putts <\/b>won the men\u2019s 50, touching the wall in 22.25, which was three tenths short of the qualifying standard for Worlds. Other notable winners from the last night of finals included <\/span>Matthys Goosen <\/b>in the 100 fly (52.53), <\/span>Kim Busch <\/b>in the 100 fly (59.82), and <\/span>Tes Schouten <\/b>in the 50 breast (30.97). <\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
