This is the qualifying meet for all upcoming major international meets for the Canadian team, including the 2019 World Championships in Gwangju, South Korea.<\/p>\n<p>In order to qualify for Worlds, swimmers must finish in the top 2 of their event and achieve a FINA \u2018A\u2019 qualifying standard.<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/results.swimming.ca\/2019_Canadian_Swimming_Trials\/?mc_cid=9ad2bf1585&amp;mc_eid=fa6b7ae16b\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Live Results<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<h2>Women&#8217;s Para 200 Freestyle<\/h2>\n<p><strong>Aly\u00a0Van Wyck-Smart <\/strong>claimed gold with 688 points and a 5:25.20 in the 200 Free. Her swim was over twenty seconds faster than what she went in the preliminaries. A quick 30.12 third fifty allowed Ruck to take over the lead at the 150 mark, but Oleksiak fought back to take the win. <strong>Kayla Sanchez<\/strong> (1:58.28) and <strong>Rebecca Smith<\/strong> (1:58.64) also finished under the FINA &#8216;A&#8217; Standard. Both swims are in the top 25 in the world so far this year. Harvey utilized her strong back-half to take the win. <strong>Mabel Zavaros<\/strong> took third in 2:13.61. Also of note, <strong>Summer McIntosh<\/strong> broke her own 11-12 Canadian National Age Group Record.
